The Ocean

Concept & Live Performance
The Ocean is a reflective immersive theater by artist Ping-Yeh Li at U-108 SPACE, National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts (NTMoFA). The work is built around four dimensions of the ocean: the Ocean of Life, Information, Reflection, and Hope. I was invited to perform live at the opening, engaging in a real-time dialogue between music and the visuals. Using Ambisonics spatial audio on the venue's immersive multi-channel system, I moved sounds freely around the room and enveloped the audience.
Multi-channel System & On-Site Tuning
Beyond the opening performance, I helped set up and test the immersive sound environment during installation. Working with the venue's 16.4-channel speaker layout, I listened in the room again and again and fine-tuned how the sound was distributed, making sure it spread evenly across U-108's unusual circular space. This gave the exhibition a clear, comfortable listening experience at the official opening.
