Scoring & Sonic Architecture
To sonify the narrative arc of a puppet awakening into a human being, I developed a transitional sonic palette moving from mechanical detachment to organic vitality. The score opens with irregular experimental electronics and acousmatic music, using dissonant frequencies and processed acoustic textures to establish a cold, vacant environment.
Dramatic Progression
As the character discovers its humanity, organic string pulses subtly infiltrate the electronic texture, acting as a surrogate for an awakening heartbeat. The composition gradually builds and resolves into an exuberant, lush ballet movement, tightly synchronizing with the choreography to deliver an emotionally resonant transformation.
