TMOFA New Year Motion Poster
Cultural Symbols & Timbral Selection
Designed the sound for the Taoyuan Museum of Fine Arts (TMoFA) New Year motion poster. I anchored the sonic palette with three iconic traditional instruments: Chinese drum, cymbals, and gong, using their crisp, resonant timbres to immediately establish a vibrant festive atmosphere.
Everyday Soundscapes & Symbolic Juxtaposition
Alongside acoustic instruments, authentic firecracker sound effects were integrated into the soundscape. Festive memory thrives not only on musical conventions but also on the auditory textures of daily life during the season. Juxtaposing symbolic instrumentation with real-world sonic memories reinforces a shared cultural nostalgia.
Seamless Loop Engineering
Designed for continuous playback across digital platforms, the audio needed to remain engaging across repeats while maintaining an imperceptible transition point. To achieve a seamless loop, the tail reverb was precisely cut and reintroduced at the head using subtle crossfading, effectively eliminating audible splices and ensuring an uninterrupted auditory cycle.
