Atmosphere (2022)

The work focus on how people live in the city nowadays. City is a form that
people live in to get a more convenient life and higher salary. Everyone focuses
on their works and goals to make a better life instead of building a deeper
connection to their environment and ignore things that are irrelevant to their
purpose. It’s the atmosphere of the city drives the people and make them
unconsciousness.

Anthrophonic sound elements from buses, metro, escalator, train and so on
are processed and played in the gallery with 8 speakers to create an artificial
ambience. The loudness is low enough that if the audience only focus on other
works in the gallery, they will ignore the sound.
